We the citizens of NH, we the citizens of this great county that is the United States of America... WE THE PEOPLE want a government that fits in the Constitution. Not a government that is an institution!
We want elected officials who stand up for and protect our individual liberties! We want elected officials who stand up for and defend our right to be free from unreasonable government intrusion! Elected officials that will stand up for the 10th Amendment “The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the states, are reserved to the states respectfully, or to the people.”
WE THE PEOPLE say it again we want a government that fits in the Constitution. Not a government that is an institution!
If citizens are afraid to speak their minds on public issues for fear of retaliation you cannot run a democratic republic. You can run a different sort of government for instance some sort of autocracy. But you cannot run a democratic republic. Right now where we’re at is very similar to the early stages of the French revolution prior to the terror. We cross the boundary a little bit into the terrorist part of the French revolution because there is violence in the street. But generally speaking we’re not quite to that point yet but we are certainly on the road. And what it’s going are some people standing up speaking their minds clearly and civilly. What it’s going to take are some people standing up speaking their minds clearly and civilly, respectfully but clearly. Standing up against the bullies both on the streets and in the government.
The Greeks had a word for this; parrhesia (παρρησία parrhēsía)and that basically means blunt speech clean speech, as well as Free Speech. One doesn’t need to use provocative speech and it certainly doesn’t need to be angry speech, blunt truth telling... here is the way it is.
Parrhesia is a figure of speech described as: "to speak candidly or to ask forgiveness for so speaking".This Ancient Greek word has three different forms, Parrhesia is a noun, meaning "free speech". Parrhesiazomai is a verb, meaning "to use parrhesia". Parrhesiastes is a noun, meaning one who uses parrhesia, for example "one who speaks the truth to power".
