Where are Trumpers to Go?
January 7, 2021
The hard-core GOP/Republican base that just does Republican to do Republican, the ones who for the most part aren’t willing to do the hard work of fighting for the Constitution or really fight against those who don’t uphold the Constitution, many of those Republicans stood against Trump in a variety of ways large and small for four plus years. They are the other cheek of the same ass as the Democrats.
Those very same GOP/Republicans do not seem to understand that what has held the GOP together for the last four years is Trump, without Trump there is no GOP. Before Trump the GOP was headed for the dust bin... no new blood, no new ideas and the belief that if we keep doing the same old things we will win. Trump brought people and ideas, he brought energy! Most of all he brought a huge umbrella under which people of all walks of life could walk; you didn’t have to be part of the good old boys club or part of the country club crowd.
Where are you going to go? Where will you take your energy? When will you take the fight that you have inside? Where are you the Trump supporter going to go? The Republican party wasn’t your home prior to Trump and now Trump isn’t going to be your president (assuming that is what happens) and the republican party/GOP has clearly let you down over and over and over and over again during Trumps presidency. So where are you going to go since you don’t identify as a Democrat and you don’t identify as a Republican. Remember what several Founding Father said said a two party system will be the end of this country!
“There is nothing which I dread so much as a division of the republic into two great parties, each arranged under its leader, and concerting measures in opposition to each other. This, in my humble apprehension, is to be dreaded as the greatest political evil under our Constitution.” -John Adam
George Washington agreed, saying so in his farewell presidential speech, which can be read at the end of this. Put bluntly they would say we shouldn’t identify as one party or another.
People don’t have a place to go, there is no valid third party right now. Here in New Hampshire there’s a group that has been forming called Liberty Rising, a group that doesn’t identify with the political terms Republican or Democrat, they are people who are independent and stand with the Constitution of the United States of America and the Constitution of the State of New Hampshire. Liberty Rising started out supporting State Rep candidates that stand for the Constitutions and they want to continue to support the candidates from the town level to the state level who stand with the Constitutions and are willing to fight for the constitutional values that we hold dear. They want to stand up and advocate for what they believe is right according to the Constitutions through their actions. They want to push their elected officials to do the right things, to vote the right way.
Now is the time to take off the clothing of a political party and stand for the Constitutions and stand beside and fight along side those who stand for the Constitutions. Join Liberty Rising today.
“The alternate domination of one faction over another, sharpened by the spirit of revenge, natural to party dissension, which in different ages and countries has perpetrated the most horrid enormities, is itself a frightful despotism. But this leads at length to a more formal and permanent despotism. The disorders and miseries, which result, gradually incline the minds of men to seek security and repose in the absolute power of an individual; and sooner or later the chief of some prevailing faction, more able or more fortunate than his competitors, turns this disposition to the purposes of his own elevation, on the ruins of Public Liberty
Without looking forward to an extremity of this kind, (which nevertheless ought not to be entirely out of sight,) the common and continual mischiefs of the spirit of party are sufficient to make it the interest and duty of a wise people to discourage and restrain it.
It serves always to distract the Public Councils, and enfeeble the Public Administration. It agitates the Community with ill-founded jealousies and false alarms; kindles the animosity of one part against another, foments occasionally riot and insurrection. It opens the door to foreign influence and corruption, which find a facilitated access to the government itself through the channels of party passions. Thus the policy and the will of one country are subjected to the policy and will of another.
"There is an opinion, that parties in free countries are useful checks upon the administration of the Government, and serve to keep alive the spirit of Liberty. This within certain limits is probably true; and in Governments of a Monarchical cast, Patriotism may look with indulgence, if not with favor, upon the spirit of party. But in those of the popular character, in Governments purely elective, it is a spirit not to be encouraged. From their natural tendency, it is certain there will always be enough of that spirit for every salutary purpose. And, there being constant danger of excess, the effort ought to be, by force of public opinion, to mitigate and assuage it. A fire not to be quenched, it demands a uniform vigilance to prevent its bursting into a flame, lest, instead of warming, it should consume.” - George Washington
