Fear Is A Tricky Thing

During the last election cycle I told a candidate that they need to be more like Hilter. The look on their face was a picture I must tell you! It is the young Hitler of whom I spoke. Hitler didn’t start out as a brash man. He started out quietly working towards his long term goals, building to achieve his ultimate plan. This is not that unlike the founders and it is certainly what the progressives have done, indeed Hitler took plays from the progressives in the United States. One thing they all did was strategically plan their moves and very quietly went about the business at hand until things reached a certain level and then the moves became more obvious. We mustn’t let our fear drive us to making stupid moves, we mustn’t let the urgency we are feeling lead to rash decisions that will lead to failure! To much is at stake!
It was not without fear that the Founders and those who saw the need to break away from the tyranny of the motherland moved towards freedom. Just like it was not without fear that the pilgrims made a voyage that could have, as they well knew led to their deaths, all to become free.
These men and woman knew that their fear had to be laid aside for the greater good; not just for themselves but for their families and for those who had yet to be born.
Fear is a tricky thing... some are paralyzed by it and others run from it and then there are the people that make something of it! We are a county founded on the backs of people who made something of it. They took the fear of further oppression and tyranny to heart, they planned and activated. They didn’t act in haste and they didn’t always act in the public eye. In fact much of their early work was done with in a very select few people knowing who they were. Much of their plans were rigorously worked through and quietly laid down. This goes for the pilgrims and the founders and those who worked with them.
With the founders and their ilk they started to work to changed the public’s view through writings (most often with nom de plumes and hidden printing presses) and clandestine activities.
It will be that kind of people who will again at this time make something of their fear, the fear of losing all that was previously fought for, but too few people have been fighting to maintain, those are the people who will lead us back. And back is where we must go! Back to when the government fit in the Constitution and was not an institution unto its self.
Are you one of them?
